A confidential deep-tech semiconductor company is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead external manufacturing strategy and act as the primary technical authority with global foundry partners. This executive-level role is ideal for a highly respected engineering leader with deep semiconductor expertise, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to operate credibly at both strategic and technical levels.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in scaling next-generation hardware technologies from development through to production, working closely with foundries, packaging partners, and internal engineering leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
• Acting as the senior technical interface with foundries and manufacturing partners
• Leading process technology selection, qualification, and production readiness
• Driving yield optimisation, reliability, and performance improvements
• Influencing manufacturing roadmaps and aligning external partnerships with company objectives
• Providing authoritative leadership across silicon engineering, process integration, and supply chain collaboration
• Supporting executive decision-making with strong technical and operational insight
Candidates should bring:
• Significant leadership experience within semiconductor or advanced hardware environments
• Strong knowledge of advanced nodes, ASICs, photonics, or high-performance compute technologies
• Proven success managing complex foundry relationships and scaling products into high-volume manufacturing
